ABOUT THE PROJECT —
Eliezer Yudkowsky is a decision theorist and computer scientist. His new book series is an introduction to concepts about human thinking, heuristics and biases, and how to think clearly about decision making and reality. The client wanted the cover design not to be too literal and not to resemble typical computer science or AI textbooks.
To design a book cover that would lure the readers in, I stayed within the realm of abstract and subdued tones, and used foggy landscape photography. I chose a clean, green font that would look like it was intertwined within the fog to make it feel cohesive and natural with a touch of mystery.
