Plunge is a clean, ocean-inspired skincare brand, that creates luxurious, science-backed formulations focusing on potent, ocean-derived ingredients for high-performance results. They use the wealth of skin-friendly ingredients and minerals from the sea combined with innovative techniques to create effective natural skincare products such as serums and face creams. All their products are formulated around powerful active ingredients of the highest quality sourced from the shores and their surroundings to nourish and regenerate the skin. This all-natural, environmentally-focused idea in the heart of the entire brand concept, gave rise to the creative direction for this project, and all ideas for the brand identity and packaging concepts focused on dreamy coasts and fresh ocean waters.

The brand identity created in this project needed to reflect the brand’s luxurious, yet approachable experiences of spa-like skincare rituals at home, without any complicated routines. It also had to clearly show that the products are based on clean, innovative, and clinically effective ingredients that are results-driven, not just trendy. The brand also needed minimalist, sophisticated packaging designs that look beautiful on the shelf. In order to achieve that, the look and feel of the new brand identity was kept in a chic, minimalist style with a little luxurious touch. To reflect the modern and innovative character of the brand, elegant, minimalist fonts were used, emphasising the premium quality of the products. For the packaging design, each product was paired with a custom abstract landscape painting inspired by the ocean shores, with their cool tones and rough textures. These dynamic abstract illustrations, with their raw look and lots of organic textures, provide a strong contrast to the otherwise clean and minimalist feel of the packaging, becoming a great metaphor of the simple and natural, yet powerful products.
